Cyanotype is an early photographic process, invented in 1842 by English scientist Sir John Herschel. It is known for its beautiful deep blue tones, created through a chemical reaction triggered by sunlight. This handmade and poetic technique involves coating a surface (paper, fabric…) with a light-sensitive solution, placing an object or negative on it, and exposing it to sunlight. After rinsing with clear water, the image slowly appears in a rich Prussian blue — almost as if by magic. At the crossroads of photography and printmaking, cyanotype invites us to slow down, observe, and explore a more sensory and intuitive approach to image-making. Each print is unique, bearing the marks of the hand, of time, and of light
